So we’ve been in Roudnice for a couple of days. Training is now down to 1 session a day. So we have quite a bit of time to kill in the day. Today, we went tobogganing. I know what you’re thinking, and this was no ordinary toboggan hill, this one was made of wood platforms and a metal track. Basically a rollercoaster, but you had control. The “toboggans” were metal sheets with a stick that acted was a brake or accelerator depending on which way you pushed it. I think the top speed that was reached was 54 km/h.
Apparently the hill that this track was built on was once a ski hill. But the lack of snow wasn’t helping the tourism so a giant sheet of plastic was placed on the hill instead. This didn’t last long either, so the ski hill was closed down. Now, it’s the home of the rickety toboggan track.

On our day off, we were able to go into Prague and do some shopping. Katrina and I went with Haley downtown and we hit up the stores. The Europeans are very stylish. I feel like our fashion is way behind theirs. The rest of the group and the Alberta boys + Max went to the Chinese Market (which may possibly be the Vietnamese Market). I guess it’s pretty funny to hear the stall owners speak Czech. No one got lost and now the boys have some toys to keep them occupied at least for a few days, or until they break.

Hi,
We had a “tobogan track” somewhat similar to that in Calgary. It’s where the bobsled track is now. That is where your dad asked me to marry him.
