Ski Marathon first of its kind in the Yukon

Rob Mcconnell takes part in the inaugural Yukon Ski Marathon, a 50K or 20K race that finished at Mount McIntyre.

At the beginning of April, bluebird skies and a heck of a tailwind greeted skiers participating in the first-ever Yukon Ski Marathon. Starting at either Mount Lorne (50K) or Mount Sima (20K) they travelled along trails to finish at Mount McIntyre.

The Whitehorse Huskies will be heading into the Coy Cup tournament on a high note. The Huskies, which host B.C.’s Senior AA tournament at the end of March, logged more game time on home ice with a quick dispatch of the Kelowna Sparta 5-3 and 4-2, Friday and Saturday nights at the Takhini?Arena.
