Attending the awards ceremony for Sport Yukon, I heard about this backyard rink of one of the Yukon’s most successful young hockey players: Dylan Cozens.
Selected in the first round of the WHL Bantam Draft in 2016, he played a handful of games with his future team, the Lethbridge Hurricanes, this season.
Cozens was home for the holidays, and I arranged to meet him at the backyard rink where he learned to skate.
It was bitterly cold, but the snow started to fall a little bit. It was a fast, productive shoot.
